Religious celebrations held in Drobnice and Suprask

Various religious communities in Poland recently held significant liturgical celebrations. In the Archdiocese of Częstochowa, the parish of Our Lady of the Snow in Drobnice celebrated its patronal feast day on August 9. The festivities, led by Father Mariusz Bakalarz and Parish Priest Marcin Kręciwilk, included a homily connecting the local temple to the Basilica in Rome and concluded with a solemn Eucharistic procession involving the local fire brigade and brass band.

Simultaneously, the Polish Orthodox Church held major celebrations honoring the Suprask Icon of the Mother of God on August 9–10 at the Suprask Monastery of the Annunciation. The event drew large crowds of pilgrims, including organized groups traveling by foot from Białystok, by kayak from Gródki, and for the first time, organized pilgrims from Estonia. The ceremonies were presided over by Archbishop Jakub of Białystok and Gdańsk, with various bishops in attendance. Although Metropolitan Sawas of Warsaw could not attend due to health reasons, he sent a message of greeting to the clergy and faithful.
