Religious events scheduled in the Netherlands for late 2026

Several religious inspiration and mission days are scheduled to take place in the Netherlands in late 2026.

On October 16, 2026, the Sint Franciscusparochie will host an inspiration day at the Sint Janscentrum in Den Bosch. The event, titled ‘Luisterend op weg’, focuses on the practical application of synodality within faith communities. The program includes panel discussions on synodality in practice, experiences regarding church closures, and youth engagement, alongside tools for implementing synodal processes.

Additionally, MissieNederland will organize the first edition of ‘De Grote Opdracht Dag’ on November 6, 2026. This meeting day is designed for churches, leaders, missionaries, and volunteers to explore the contemporary requirements of Christian mission in the Netherlands. The event will be structured around the ‘Five Marks of Mission’, which include evangelism, discipleship, mercy, justice, and stewardship of creation.
