Religious leaders hold meetings and celebrate restorations in Spain
Monseñor García Cadiñanos presided over a thanksgiving celebration following the restoration of the Santa Rita church in Xuvia, Narón. The project, which concluded in September, involved painting the exterior, cleaning gutters, and repairing damaged adobes at a cost of nearly 59,000 euros. Funding was provided through a 30,000 euro subsidy from the Bishopric, with the remainder raised via private donations and collaborating entities.
Additionally, the Diocese will visit the parish of Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados in Piñeiros to inaugurate recent repairs to the floor, ventilation, and insulation, totaling 38,784 euros.
In Barcelona, the Tarraconense Episcopal Conference (CET) held its 264th meeting. Bishops participated in the inauguration of the 2026-2027 academic year at the Ateneu Universitari Sant Pacià. The meeting included reflections on current social, political, and economic complexities, as well as discussions regarding the implementation of the Synod on Synodality across various dioceses.
