Religious ordinations held for new deacons in Milan and Bari

Recent religious ceremonies in Italy have marked the ordination of several new deacons. In Milan, Archbishop Mario Delpini presided over the ordination of 17 candidates for the transient diaconate at the Milan Cathedral. The group includes 11 seminarians from the Diocese and six from the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME), including five individuals of African origin and one from India. These candidates are scheduled to become priests on June 12, 2027.

In a separate ceremony held on September 26 at the Basilica of Santa Fara in Bari, Archbishop Giorgio Ferretti ordained three Capuchin friars: Gianluca Spagnuolo, Alberto Lipinga, and Pierluigi Placentino. The ceremony emphasized the diaconate as a commitment to service and providing comfort to those in need.
