Religious organizations in Ghana hold major leadership assemblies

Religious organizations in Ghana are holding significant assemblies to address leadership and future missions. The Conference of Major Superiors of Religious, Ghana (CMSR-Gh) is conducting a week-long plenary assembly in Wa. Under the theme “Synodal paths to mission sustainability: Walking together in hope,” the gathering focuses on fostering collaboration among religious men and women to better serve society through shared resources in areas such as healthcare, education, and social transformation.

Separately, the Assemblies of God, Ghana is preparing for the 10th Triennial World Congress, which will be held in Accra from October 14 to 16, 2026. This marks the first time the global fellowship will host the event in Africa. General Superintendent Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam recently briefed 2,500 church leaders on the preparations. The congress aims to discuss strategies for church expansion and will feature large-scale gospel revival rallies at the Accra Sports Stadium.
