Religious traditions honor Our Lady of Nazareth in Brazil

Religious observances dedicated to Our Lady of Nazareth are taking place across Brazil. In Belém, Pará, the Círio de Nazaré procession involves large crowds participating in a tradition recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The event, which dates back to 1793, is driven by personal vows and religious devotion.

In Goiânia, a statue of Our Lady of Nazareth brought from Israel is being received at the Nossa Senhora da Assunção Parish. The image is accompanied by a relic from the Grotto of the Annunciation in Nazareth, Israel. This visit follows a spiritual partnership established in August 2025 between the Sacred Family Basilica Sanctuary and the House of Nazareth in Israel.
