Religious youth gatherings held in Brazil and Portugal

In Brazil, the Archdiocesan Seminar of the Base Ecclesial Communities (CEBs) is scheduled for November 20–22 at the Santo Afonso Retreat House in Socopo. The seminar focuses on the theme of walking with youth and building community networks through Christian Life Initiation. The event serves as preparation for the 16th Interecclesial of the CEBs in 2027 and aims to implement new evangelization guidelines in Brazil.

In Portugal, young Franciscans gathered in Santarém for Tau Day 2026. The national meeting, themed ‘Until the End’ in the context of the Franciscan Jubilee, brought together participants from various regions including Viseu, Lisbon, and Coimbra. The event included a spiritual tour of Santarém, featuring visits to the Sanctuary of the Most Holy Miracle to reflect on the Eucharist and the life of Saint Francis of Assisi.
