Remco Evenepoel Confident Ahead of Tour de France
Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel, 26, of the Red Bull‑BORA‑hansgrohe team said he will "face the Tour with confidence" after a two‑month training block without racing. He highlighted that he has lost weight while maintaining power, avoided the exhaustion that forced him to abandon last year, and feels in excellent form for his third Tour de France start.
Former directeur sportif Johan Bruyneel praised Evenepoel’s condition, noting his light weight and strong mountain training. Bruyneel said a podium finish, especially third place, would be a "big statement" given criticism of the rider, while acknowledging rivals such as Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogačar.
