Remco Evenepoel's Tour de France hopes rise as Giro podium finisher Jai Hindley eyes selection
Australian rider Jai Hindley finished third in the Giro d'Italia and said he would like to ride the Tour de France, offering extra support for team leader Remco Evenepoel. Hindley told Cycling Pro Net, "I would love to ride the Tour" and added he feels "fresher than after my previous Giros" despite a tiring season.
Evenepoel will make his first Tour appearance with the Red Bull‑BORA‑Hansgrohe squad, where Florian Lipowitz is also slated as a co‑leader. The team has not yet announced its eight‑man lineup, with riders such as Gianni Vermeersch, Maxim Van Gils, Mattia Cattaneo and Jan Tratnik also in contention. Hindley's recent podium could boost his case for a Tour role, potentially serving as a domestique for Evenepoel as they prepare for the race.
