Renatre integrates labor certification into Argentine meat sustainability seal

In Argentina, the National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers (Renatre) has reached an agreement with the Mesa Argentina de Carne Sustentable (MACS) to integrate labor certification into its sustainability seal. Under this agreement, meat industry establishments seeking the MACS sustainability seal must first obtain the Sustainable Labor Practices Business Certification from Renatre.

This requirement ensures that companies demonstrate compliance with labor laws and maintain registered employment before proceeding with sustainability certification. The measure aims to strengthen the social component of the meat supply chain's sustainability criteria, which includes producers, transporters, and meatpacking plants.
