The Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) announced that the Renault Clio won the Turkey 2026 Car of the Year award, receiving 3,360 points from 67 expert automotive journalists. The compact French model edged out the BMW iX3 (2,770 points) and the domestic Togg T10F (2,550 points) in a competition that began with 33 candidates and narrowed to a final seven.

The award ceremony was held at the Rixos Tersane in Istanbul and was sponsored by ZF Aftermarket, Arabam.com, Bridgestone, Shell Helix and TOSFED. In addition to the main prize, BMW iX3 earned “Year’s Design”, “Year’s Innovative Project” (for its Panoramic Vision system) and “Year’s Premium Car” awards, while Hyundai received the “Year’s Press Launch” award for its EV Tech Day event. The inaugural Jury Special Award was presented to Eren Üçlertoprağı, president of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED). This marks the second time the Renault Clio has been named Turkey’s Car of the Year, reinforcing its strong market position.
