Renault expands Boreal production to Turkey and launches E-Tech Full Hybrid SUV

Renault has begun manufacturing its Boreal C‑SUV at the Bursa plant in Turkey, adding a second production site to the model that was first launched at its Brazil plant in Curitiba. The Turkish output will be exported to markets in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, strengthening Renault’s presence in regions where SUV demand is growing.

The Turkish‑built Boreal will be offered with a new 160 hp E‑Tech Full Hybrid powertrain – the first Renault model worldwide to use this system – as well as a 145 hp TCe 1.3‑liter turbo engine paired with a dual‑clutch gearbox. Renault CEO Fabrice Cambolive highlighted the move as part of the brand’s strategy to accelerate growth outside Europe and provide more value to customers in the premium C‑SUV segment.
