Renault Group prepares Tangier plant for future Dacia model

Renault Group is preparing its Tangier factory in Morocco to produce a key future vehicle for the Dacia brand. Thierry Charvet, Chief Industry Quality & Supply Chain Officer for Renault Group, confirmed that the facility is laying the groundwork for this upcoming model in collaboration with Renault Technology Morocco.

While the specific model name and production timeline have not been officially disclosed, reports suggest the project may involve the fourth-generation Sandero. The Tangier plant has significant experience with Dacia production; in 2025, the facility produced nearly 300,000 vehicles, with the Sandero accounting for approximately three-quarters of that volume. The plant also recently integrated hybrid production for the Dacia Jogger, providing technical experience for future electrified or multi-energy platforms.
