Renault Italy records 3.9% volume rise and strong Clio demand in H1

"We are satisfied with the results achieved in Italy in the first six months of the year," said Sébastien Guigues, general manager of Renault Italy. The company posted a 3.9% increase in total vehicle volumes and a 35% rise in orders, putting it in fourth place for registrations, three spots above its 2025 target. The new Clio model generated about 20,000 orders within a few months of launch, driving a double‑digit 15.4% growth in the private‑customer segment.

Guigues highlighted that hybrid technology is gaining traction, with hybrids accounting for over 50% of sales in the first quarter of 2026. He also noted strong early adoption of the fully electric Twingo, which has already recorded around 1,000 orders, especially among urban buyers. While Renault continues to offer a broad SUV lineup, the company is focusing on competitive pricing and product quality to counter the growing presence of Chinese manufacturers in the Italian market.
