Renault launches new Captur Esprit Alpine Full Hybrid in Japan
Renault Japon has launched the new Renault Captur Esprit Alpine Full Hybrid E-TECH in Japan. The updated compact SUV features a newly developed 1.8L direct-injection gasoline engine and an expanded 1.4kWh battery capacity.
These technical upgrades increase the system's maximum output from 143 PS to 158 PS, improving the 0-100 km/h acceleration time from 10.6 seconds to 8.9 seconds. Despite the increase in power, the vehicle achieves a WLTC fuel consumption rate of 24.5 km/L, which Renault claims is the top class for imported SUVs.
The new model integrates Google services directly via the 'openR link' infotainment system, featuring a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument panel. Additional premium features include a harman/kardon audio system, a 360-degree camera, and a driver monitoring system. The vehicle is priced at 4.94 million yen.
