Renault Niagara enters production in Argentina
Renault has officially commenced mass production of the Niagara pickup truck at the Santa Isabel plant in Córdoba, Argentina. The vehicle, which serves as the successor to the Duster Oroch, was developed over five years specifically for the Latin American market.
To support this new production line, the Santa Isabel facility underwent significant modernization, including 278 infrastructure projects and the installation of over 60 industrial robots. The model underwent extensive validation, including more than 800,000 kilometers of road testing.
The Niagara features a 1.3 turbo flex engine producing up to 160 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. It will be available in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations with manual or dual-clutch automatic transmissions. While initial releases will focus on internal combustion engines, Renault plans to introduce a four-wheel-drive hybrid variant in the future. The vehicle is scheduled to arrive in the Brazilian market in November.
