Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric launches in Greece as affordable city EV

Renault introduced the new fully electric Twingo‑Tech in Greece, positioning it as a low‑cost city car. The model is offered in two trim levels – Evolution at €19,490 and Techno at €22,900 – before state incentives. With the €3,000 government grant, a €1,500 scrappage bonus and additional subsidies for young drivers, people with disabilities and large families, the effective price can fall to about €11,500 for the Evolution version and €14,900 for the Techno version.

Technical specifications include a 60 kW (82 hp) motor delivering 175 Nm of torque, a 27.5 kWh LFP battery providing a WLTP range of up to 263 km and a consumption of 12.2 kWh/100 km, the lowest in its segment. Fast DC charging restores 10 %–80 % in roughly 30 minutes. The car features a 7‑inch digital instrument cluster, a 10‑inch OpenR Link infotainment screen with Google services, and 18 of 24 available ADAS functions, including a one‑pedal driving mode.

The five‑door layout offers independent rear seats that slide 17 cm, creating a cargo space of 260 L that expands to 360 L when the seats are folded, and up to 1 000 L with the seats fully retracted. Production takes place at Renault’s plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. The launch event was held at the Zappeion in Athens, presented by Grand Automotive Hellas.

Renault aims to revive the A‑segment market, which now accounts for only about 5 % of European car sales, by offering a compact, well‑equipped electric vehicle at a price below €20,000, challenging rivals such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Leapmotor T03.
