Renault unveils electric 8 Gordini Concept at Paris Motor Show
Renault has unveiled the 8 Gordini Concept, an electric two-seater coupé that reimagines the classic motorsport legend for the battery era. The concept is currently being showcased at the Paris Motor Show through October 18.
Drawing inspiration from the original 1964 model, which featured a rear-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive, the new concept maintains a rear-driven character. The vehicle features a wide, low-profile silhouette measuring 4.12 meters in length, 1.88 meters in width, and 1.27 meters in height. It is equipped with 270 hp and distinctive styling, including six round headlights and staggered wheel sizes, with 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear.
This project is part of Renault’s ongoing effort to reinterpret its historical icons through unique specimens. The 8 Gordini Concept will eventually join the brand’s heritage collection and be displayed at the future Renault Collections museum in Flins, which is expected to open to the public in approximately fifteen months.
