Renault unveils electric R8 Gordini Concept at Paris Motor Show
Renault has unveiled the R8 Gordini Concept, an electric two-seater coupe that reimagines the classic 1960s sports car. Debuted at the Paris Motor Show, the concept features a compact, muscular design with a length of 4.12 meters, a width of 1.88 meters, and a height of 1.27 meters. The vehicle produces 270 hp and maintains a nod to its heritage through its rear-wheel-drive identity and signature blue livery with white racing stripes.
Design elements include 19-inch front wheels, 20-inch rear wheels, and six round headlights. While the original 1964 model was a four-door vehicle used to train generations of rally drivers, this modern interpretation transitions to a specialized electric coupe.
There is potential for the R8 Gordini to enter limited production in the future, depending on the commercial success of the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, which is slated for a 2028 release. The 5 Turbo 3E is expected to be a highly exclusive model produced in a run of 1,980 units.
