Renault unveils Niagara pickup for Latin American markets

Renault has introduced the Niagara, a new pickup truck developed in Córdoba specifically for the Latin American market, including Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia. The vehicle is designed to bridge the gap between a robust pickup and a comfortable SUV, targeting users who require cargo capacity and traction alongside advanced connectivity and driving assistance.

The Niagara features a chassis developed specifically for the model with multi-link rear suspension, aimed at reducing body movement by 30% to enhance comfort. Interior specifications include a 10.1-inch multimedia screen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless smartphone charging.

This launch is part of Renault’s ‘futuREady’ strategic plan, which aims to release 14 new vehicle models outside of Europe by 2030. The company intends to consolidate its global leadership by ensuring half of its sales occur outside Europe, while increasing the proportion of electric and hybrid powertrains to 50% in those markets.
