Renewable energy firms secure major financing for global storage and solar projects

Several independent power producers and clean-tech companies have reached financial closure or completed major transactions for renewable energy and storage projects across India, Finland, and the United States.

In India, AMPIN Energy Transition secured a $195 million facility for a 100 MW wind-solar and battery storage project in Andhra Pradesh. Hindustan Power achieved financial closure for a 435 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh, securing approximately $113.5 million in debt financing. Additionally, Mahindra Susten secured ₹8.75 billion (~$91.51 million) from the Export Import Bank of India for a 150.8 MW hybrid renewable energy project in Maharashtra.

In Finland, the Korkia Semecon Finland Renewables joint venture sold the 125 MW Kukonkylä battery energy storage project in Sievi to Enlight Renewable Energy. In the United States, PowerBank Corporation, through its subsidiary Abundant Solar Power, entered agreements to reacquire two community solar projects in New York totaling 13.9 MW.
