Renfe announces major rebranding and new ticket sales system

Renfe is launching a major digital and visual overhaul, including a new corporate identity and a unified ticket sales system. The rebranding features the return of the historic ‘galleta’ (cookie) icon and a shift to a darker purple corporate color.

The new sales infrastructure, representing an investment of approximately 160 million euros, was developed in collaboration with Siemens and Accenture. The system aims to unify seven different sales channels—including the web, mobile app, ticket offices, and travel agencies—into a single, coherent architecture. This change is intended to simplify the user experience, allowing passengers to compare prices, durations, and services more efficiently.

The rollout will occur in phases. Starting October 28, users can begin purchasing tickets through the new platform for travel scheduled from January 25 onwards. During this transition, the old and new systems will coexist to ensure inventory stability. The new system is expected to be fully operational by January 25, at which point the legacy platform will be retired.
