Reniec launches free DNI campaign and certificate verification in Peru

The National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec) in Peru has launched a campaign providing free DNI and electronic DNI 3.0 issuance in various regions through August 30. The initiative targets minors, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable populations. Participating regions include Amazonas, Arequipa, Cusco, Lima, Piura, and several others across the country.

Additionally, citizens can now verify the registration of birth, marriage, and death certificates through the official Reniec website. If a certificate is not found in the digital database, individuals must contact the specific municipality where the registration occurred. For records made abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must be contacted to coordinate with the relevant consulate.
