Republika Srpska adopts regional wildfire management program

The Government of Republika Srpska has approved the implementation of the second phase of a regional Open Space Fire Management Program. The initiative covers five countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Albania.

Scheduled to run from 2027 to 2029, the program is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. It aims to improve fire prevention, strengthen the capacity of relevant services, and enhance the protection of nature, natural resources, and human lives.
