Republika Srpska allocates 3.95 million KM for agricultural tractor subsidies

The Government of Republika Srpska has allocated 3.95 million KM to support 84 agricultural holdings in the purchase of Belarus tractors. Under the program, beneficiaries receive a 60 percent reimbursement on their investment. The recipients include 55 young producers, six graduate engineers, and 23 families with three or more children.

Prime Minister Savo Minić stated that the government has invested in over 2,400 tractors over the last seven years to bolster the domestic agricultural sector. He also announced a forthcoming 31 million KM investment in irrigation systems involving 20 local communities, aimed at ensuring long-term sustainability for rural areas.

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Anđelka Kuzmić emphasized the importance of supporting farmers who remain in rural areas. The initiative is part of the broader 'Village of Republika Srpska – My Place for Life' project, which seeks to encourage young people to stay in the region through modernized mechanization and infrastructure.
