Republika Srpska implements employment and job preservation programs
Various employment and job preservation initiatives are being implemented in Republika Srpska through significant financial allocations.
In Pale, the Employment Service of Republika Srpska signed contracts totaling over 1 million KM to support 118 individuals and 47 employers. These funds, allocated for 2026, cover professional training for highly educated individuals, self-employment support, and programs targeting youth under 30 and high-risk unemployed persons. Damjan Škipina, director of the Employment Service, noted that these programs aim to strengthen the connection between employers and job seekers to create a sustainable labor market.
Additionally, the Federal Ministry for Displaced Persons and Refugees is allocating more than 1.6 million KM to preserve jobs for returnees within Republika Srpska. This funding targets 1,588 employees across 36 municipalities. The initiative includes support for private businesses, such as micro, small, and medium enterprises, as well as religious organizations, through programs designed to improve working conditions and refund tax and contribution costs.
