Paraná governor race: Sergio Moro leads, PT names Senate slate

Sergio Moro (PL) is ahead in every poll for the 2026 Paraná governorship, recording around 39 %–40 % support across multiple scenarios, while Requião Filho (PDT) trails with 18 %–24 % and other contenders such as Rafael Greca (MDB) and Sandro Alex (PSD) remain far behind. The incumbent governor Ratinho Junior (PSD) retains strong popularity, with an 81 % approval rating and 63 % of respondents saying he should choose his successor; his endorsed candidate Sandro Alex is polling below 10 %. The Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) in Paraná confirmed its Senate ticket—Gleisi Hoffmann and Doctor Rosinha (Florisvaldo Fier)—and officially backed Requião Filho for the governorship. The PDT also nominated Airton Artus for a state‑deputy seat covering the Taquari and Rio Pardo valleys. In a separate Senate poll, former governor Alvaro Dias (MDB) and Alexandre Curi (Republicanos) are shown as the leading candidates. All polls were commissioned by Genial/Quaest or Real Time, involved roughly 1,100 respondents, have a 3‑point margin of error and a 95 % confidence level.
