Resident Evil voice actors release spoiler discussion video

Voice actors Hiro Shimono and Saori Hayami have released a special spoiler-filled discussion video regarding the Japanese dub of the new Resident Evil film. Shimono voices the protagonist, Brian, while Hayami plays Michelle.

In the video, Shimono describes the intense recording process as an “Autumn Brian Festival” due to the constant screaming and emotional strain required for the role. Hayami noted the difficulty of the script after seeing the volume of lines assigned to Shimono. The two actors discussed their characters' relationship and shared insights into the film's shocking conclusion.

The Resident Evil film, directed by Zach Cregger, has become a major hit in Japan. Within its first ten days of release, it earned approximately 1.37 billion yen and attracted over 800,000 viewers, marking one of the highest sales in the history of the franchise globally.
