Retail updates in Japan: Okinawa-ya promotions and Takashimaya winter gifts
Okinawa-ya has announced its November campaign across all physical stores and its online shop. In-store customers at specific locations can receive free water and fans with purchases exceeding 5,000 yen during designated time slots. Additionally, the retailer is offering miniature bottles of Awamori, such as Nanko and Yume, with the purchase of specific aged spirits, and glassware with certain purchases at select branches.
Takashimaya is launching its winter gift season, known as Oseibo. Physical gift centers in the Kansai region began opening on October 30, followed by Kanto locations on November 4. The retailer is offering approximately 2,000 items in-store and up to 3,800 items online. This year’s selection includes a special feature titled “Asian Gourmet Travel without a Passport,” offering food items that evoke a travel experience, alongside a curated collection of high-quality goods.
