Retro games Choppa: Rescue Rivals and The Convenience Store debut on Switch and PS5

Parta Games' "Choppa: Rescue Rivals" is set for a Japan‑only Nintendo Switch launch on August 13, 2026, priced at ¥1,900. The title revives the classic 1980s arcade‑action style of "Choplifter" with single‑player story missions, a variety of pilot abilities, and a local‑multiplayer "air‑hockey" mode, and a Steam version is also planned.

The 1997 simulation "The Convenience Store ~Dominate the Town~" will be reissued through the Console Archives series on July 23, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 at ¥1,200. Developed by HAMSTER Corporation, the game lets players run a convenience store, manage inventory and competition, and experience the original RPG‑style management gameplay on modern consoles.
