Reus Airport reports significant year-round passenger growth

Reus Airport is experiencing sustained year-round growth, moving beyond its traditional reliance on summer seasonal traffic. Data from the first seven months of 2026 shows the airport handled 811,858 passengers, representing a 9.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

In July alone, the terminal recorded 235,986 passengers, a 6.1% increase over July 2025. This marks the second consecutive month where passenger numbers exceeded 200,000, following 225,394 in June. Aircraft movements also rose, with 2,980 operations in July (up 6.8%) and 15,024 total movements in the first seven months of the year (up 9.1%).

Reus Airport's growth rate is currently outpacing the broader Aena network in Spain, which saw a 4% increase in passengers during the same January-to-July period. For comparison, other regional airports managed by Aena in Catalonia reported different figures for July, including 5,871,137 passengers at Barcelona-El Prat and 320,926 at Girona-Costa Brava.
