Reus implements youth welfare projects and road repairs

The Reus City Council has reported positive results from the first four months of the ‘Xarxa als Barris’ project. Launched on March 1, this community initiative aims to promote the emotional and social well-being of children and youth aged 3 to 20. In collaboration with the Fundació Educativa i Social (FES) and various local entities, the project has reached approximately eighty young people through twelve different activities, including cooperative games, dance, theater, and arts.

Separately, the municipal company Reus Mobilitat i Serveis has announced plans to repair asphalt on eight streets in Reus due to cracks and potholes. The project, estimated to cost approximately 462,987 euros, involves applying a new 5-centimeter layer of asphalt and repainting horizontal signage. Key areas for intervention include Pintor Tapiró, Passeig Nord, and Mas de l’Abelló, with works expected to take two and a half months.
