Reutlingen Power Substation Fire Investigated for Links to Left‑Extremist Blog

German authorities are investigating a suspected arson attack on a power substation in Reutlingen. Investigators are examining possible connections to the left‑extremist blog “Switch off,” which lists the incident under its “Actions/Sabotage” section. The Landeskriminalamt (LKA) said the blog is being checked for any involvement, although no admission of responsibility has been found. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) described the campaign as encouraging violent acts by linking anti‑capitalist and climate‑politics motives, noting that more than 100 crimes in Germany have been linked to the blog. The LKA has received only a few eyewitness reports and is reviewing all leads.
