Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo denies campaigning for President Tinubu

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) for Barkin Ladi in Plateau State, has denied allegations that he is campaigning for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

The accusations were leveled by social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, who claimed in a viral video that Dachomo had shifted from criticizing the administration to praying for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a recent trip to Israel. The activist suggested the cleric had been compromised by the presidency.

In a statement, Rev. Dachomo dismissed the claims as false and malicious, asserting that his prayers in Israel were intended for national peace, protection for persecuted communities, and divine intervention against evil. He clarified that he did not pray for the success of the APC's Muslim-Muslim ticket, stating, “I only prayed that evil plans against Nigeria fail,” and emphasized his commitment to defending the rights of persecuted groups.
