Revolución Ciudadana denounces office eviction from Ecuador's National Assembly

The Revolución Ciudadana (RC) legislative bloc in Ecuador has denounced the eviction of its advisors and coordination space from the first floor of the National Assembly. The opposition group characterized the administrative order as “political harassment” intended to obstruct their legislative work.

According to the RC bloc, the directive issued by Dayana González Benítez, the Assembly's General Administrative Coordinator, requires the relocation of their staff and infrastructure to the Dinardap building, which is located outside the main legislative complex.

Norman Morales, the General Administrator of the National Assembly, responded to the controversy by stating that the institution is reorganizing and optimizing its spaces. He explained that the goal is to ensure the “efficient, transparent, and functional use of public assets.” Morales noted that the RC bloc will be relocated within the institution to meet criteria of functionality and equality, though the specific location within the legislative building was not detailed by the administration.
