Revolut appoints new Spain GM and targets Peru expansion

Revolut has appointed Santiago Pérez Olano as the new General Manager for its Spanish operations. Pérez Olano, formerly the head of EMEA for the fintech Remitly and previously an executive at Expedia, will lead the company’s strategy in Spain. The neobank currently serves over 6 million customers in the country, marking it as its third-largest market globally after the United Kingdom and France.

In addition to its leadership changes in Spain, Revolut CEO Julien Labrot announced plans to expand into Peru. The company aims to begin operations in the Peruvian market between late 2027 and early 2028. Revolut has already obtained an organizational license in Peru and is currently in the implementation phase to adapt its platform to the local market, citing the country's market size and regulatory framework as key drivers for the expansion.
