Revolution Medicines Rejects Sale, Prioritizes Independent RAS‑Inhibitor Development

Revolution Medicines said a corporate sale or merger is not a strategic priority. The company will keep its oncology pipeline, especially its RAS‑inhibitor candidates, under internal control to maximise shareholder value and patient outcomes.

The firm highlighted its lead candidate, RMC‑6236, a tri‑complex inhibitor targeting KRAS‑G12X mutations found in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and non‑small‑cell lung cancer. Ongoing Phase I/II trials are evaluating response rates and survival benefits, with further data expected through 2024‑2025. By remaining independent, Revolution Medicines aims to demonstrate clinical efficacy before considering any acquisition talks.
