RGG Studio reveals gameplay for ‘Stranger Than Heaven’
Sega and RGG Studio have revealed approximately 15 minutes of gameplay for their upcoming action-adventure title, ‘Stranger Than Heaven’. The game features a unique combat system where players can independently control the protagonist Makoto Daito’s left and right limbs using the console triggers, aiming for a heavy, realistic street-brawl feel rather than choreographed martial arts.
Set against the backdrop of Japanese history from 1915 to 1965, the narrative follows Makoto across five decades and five locations inspired by real cities, including Tokyo, Osaka, and Hiroshima. The game also incorporates a music creation mechanic, allowing players to record environmental sounds to compose original songs.
‘Stranger Than Heaven’ is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Game Pass.
