Riau Islands leaders emphasize collaboration for regional development

Regional leaders in the Riau Islands province are emphasizing the importance of collaboration to drive local development. Riau Islands Governor Ansar Ahmad met with the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) in Batam to discuss exploring the history, culture, and tourism of Pulau Penyengat. During the meeting, the Governor addressed previous miscommunications between the provincial government and the PWI, expressing a commitment to working closely with the media to communicate government programs to the public.

In Batam, Mayor Amsakar Achmad held a meeting with community leaders, including neighborhood heads (RT/RW) and local community empowerment groups (LPM) in Batu Aji. The Mayor stressed that sustainable development in Batam requires strong synergy between the government and the community. He noted that such forums serve as essential spaces for communicating infrastructure progress and gathering public input to improve regional governance.
