Ricardo Monreal promotes AI training and youth engagement in Mexican democracy

Mexican legislator Ricardo Monreal Ávila, president of the Chamber of Deputies’ Political Coordination Board, chaired the second day of the “Los No Tan Jóvenes Legislando 2026” training seminar. Speakers covered generative artificial intelligence as a productivity tool for legislative work and warned against relying on free AI services for personal matters. The seminar also featured a session on the value of art, with artist Eva Christianne Vale Bautista linking cultural expression to civic freedom.

Later, Monreal addressed university students at the launch of the University Parliamentary Model at the Insurgentes University in the San Lázaro Legislative Palace. He urged young scholars to become active in public life, strengthen democracy and defend Mexico’s national sovereignty, emphasizing education, participation and respect for the principle of non‑intervention in electoral processes.
