Riccione inaugurates new swimming facility with 4.8 million euro investment

Riccione is set to inaugurate a new 25-meter indoor pool at the Stadio del Nuoto on November 12. The project, located on viale Monte Rosa, represents a total investment of 4.8 million euros, funded by 4 million euros from European PNRR funds and 800,000 euros from the municipality.

The facility is designed with high standards of environmental sustainability, featuring photovoltaic panels for energy self-production, gas-free heating systems, and advanced thermal insulation. The new pool will be immediately operational to support the Italian Absolute Winter Open Championships, providing additional space for athlete warm-ups and preparation.

The inauguration ceremony will include several high-profile attendees, such as the President of the Italian Swimming Federation, Paolo Barelli, and officials from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The complex aims to provide full accessibility through barrier-free paths and dedicated changing rooms, serving local sports associations and public swimming needs.
