Richard Hammond fined £1,771 for two speeding offences

Former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond pleaded guilty to two speeding offences in Herefordshire within three weeks in December 2025. He was recorded at 68 mph in a 50 mph zone while driving a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo on the A40 at Pencraig, and at 82 mph in a 70 mph zone while driving a Bentley Continental GT on the A50 Rudhall over‑bridge.

At Telford Magistrates’ Court he received seven penalty points and was ordered to pay a total of £1,771, comprising fines of £333 and £666, £240 in court costs and £532 in victim surcharges. West Mercia Police reported difficulties serving notices to Hammond’s properties, ultimately locating him at his £2 million mansion near Abergavenny, Wales, where more than 30 vehicles are registered in his name.

The case underscores standard traffic‑law enforcement, with no additional convictions recorded.
