Richard Hammond fined €2,070 for speeding offenses in England

British automotive journalist and television presenter Richard Hammond, 56, was prosecuted after West Mercia Police recorded him exceeding speed limits on two motorways in Herefordshire. On 2 December 2025 he drove a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo on the A40, surpassing the 80 km/h limit by 29 km/h. On 22 December 2025 he was clocked in a Bentley Continental GT on the A50, 19 km/h over the 113 km/h limit.

The court ordered fines of €778 and €389 for the two violations, plus €280 in court costs and €621 in tax, bringing the total financial penalty to €2,070. Hammond also received seven penalty points on his driving licence, leaving him five points short of a suspension.

The case was widely reported in Greek media, highlighting the presenter’s long‑standing association with Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
