Ricoh expands Innovation Fund investments into robotics and sustainability AI

Ricoh Company announced two new corporate venture investments through its RICOH Innovation Fund. The first is a capital partnership with Tokyo‑based robotics startup Telexistence, aiming to deploy robot‑as‑a‑service solutions that combine AI and remote operation for retail and logistics environments. The second is a follow‑on investment in sustainability‑AI firm ASUENE, intended to help customers measure and cut CO₂ emissions and support broader decarbonisation initiatives in Japan and abroad.

Both deals are part of Ricoh’s strategy to leverage AI and automation technologies to address labour shortages, rising energy costs, and climate‑related pressures, while expanding its portfolio of green‑technology services.
