Overview
In late July 2026 Ricoh announced two corporate‑venture deals through its Innovation Fund. The first, with robotics start‑up Telexistence, targeted robot‑as‑a‑service solutions that combine AI and remote operation for retail and logistics. The second was a follow‑on investment in sustainability‑AI firm ASUENE to help customers measure, reduce and disclose CO₂ emissions.
A week later Ricoh expanded its AI portfolio by launching Buddycom for RICOH, an AI‑enabled voice platform that turns on‑site speech into operational data, aiming to ease labour shortages and knowledge silos across retail, logistics, manufacturing and care. At the same time Ricoh increased its stake in Asuene, deepening joint carbon‑reduction projects and participation in the Taiwan‑Japan Carbon Alliance, further cementing its focus on green‑technology services.
