Rigathi Gachagua accuses Kikuyu Police Station of criminal activity
Rigathi Gachagua, leader of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), has leveled serious allegations against the Kikuyu Police Station and current government officials. Speaking in Kiambu County, Gachagua described the station as an "active crime scene" where murders are allegedly planned. He accused officers of acting as "assassins for hire," claiming they can be paid to settle personal or business disputes, specifically citing the killing of Dr. Victoria Mutiso as a motive to facilitate land sales.
Gachagua further alleged that some officers are protected by senior officials and accused the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) of a cover-up. He also claimed that firearms stolen during recent protests were removed from official records to be used in these alleged murders.
In a separate political confrontation, Gachagua criticized Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, telling him to remain in President William Ruto’s camp rather than attempting to manage Gachagua's political issues. Gachagua accused Kindiki of sabotaging previous efforts to crack down on illicit alcohol, which he stated has led to the deaths of hundreds of young people.
