Rijkswaterstaat schedules major closures on Dutch A58 and A20 highways

Rijkswaterstaat will carry out extensive maintenance on two Dutch motorways this summer. On the A58, the section between Roosendaal (junction De Stok) and Etten‑Leur will be closed to traffic heading toward Breda from 4 July to 12 July, and the opposite direction will be closed from 8 August to 16 August. Certain slip roads remain open, and the links to the A16 at Princeville stay open in July but close in August.

On the A20, large‑scale upkeep will continue until the end of September, with two separate summer closures. From 3 July 22:00 to 17 July 05:00 the road between the Terbregseplein and Kleinpolderplein junctions will be shut, and from 24 July 22:00 to 7 August 05:00 the opposite direction between the same points will be closed. During both periods one lane in the opposite direction will be narrowed, speed limits reduced to 70 km/h, and a night‑time lane will be blocked. Additional work includes reducing the Giessen bridges from three to two lanes per direction and instituting one‑way traffic on a bridge segment.
