Ippodromo delle Capannelle celebrates centenary with 5,000 attendees

Over 5,000 people gathered at the Ippodromo delle Capannelle in Rome to celebrate the venue's centenary. The event marked 100 years since the major transformation of the site in 1926, which saw the inauguration of its historic grandstand designed by architect Paolo Vietti Violi.

The program included eight horse races, notably the Premio Centenario and the Premio Campidoglio, alongside guided tours, children's activities, and a Pony Village. The celebration follows a collaborative effort between Roma Capitale and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests (MASAF) to revitalize the facility and safeguard its historical and social value after years of mismanagement and financial debt.
