Emilia-Romagna allocates €200,000 for regional port maintenance

The Emilia-Romagna regional government has allocated €200,000 for the maintenance of five regional ports in 2026. The funding is distributed among the ports of Rimini, Cattolica, Cesenatico, Comacchio, and Goro.

Specifically, the province of Rimini will receive €132,266, split between Rimini (€87,266) and Cattolica (€45,725). Cesenatico is allocated €38,872, while the province of Ferrara will receive €28,135, covering Comacchio (€25,892) and Goro (€2,242).

The resources are intended for essential infrastructure upkeep, including lighting, seabed cleaning, public greenery, road signage, and optical navigation signals. While the regional council unanimously approved the measure, local concerns were raised regarding the port of Goro, where officials noted issues with waste management and insufficient lighting for fishermen.
