Romagna region sees diverse summer tourism and social trends

The Romagna region is experiencing diverse summer developments across tourism, social services, and economic shifts. Tourism in the Riviera remains active, with high demand for holiday homes, particularly from French travelers, despite a noted absence of Russian tourists. Various cultural and nature-based activities are being promoted, including guided bus tours through art cities like Faenza and Brisighella, canoeing at Lake Ridracoli, and horseback riding in the Po Delta Park.

In Rimini, social initiatives are addressing elderly isolation. The “Ruote di Comunità” project, a collaboration between the Cari Nonni association, Fondazione Meeting, and JTI Italia, utilizes a specialized minivan to transport seniors to essential locations and community events.

Conversely, the regional reception system is facing challenges due to a significant decrease in migrant arrivals. Data indicates a 53.7% drop in landings compared to 2025, leading to the closure of several extraordinary reception centers (Cas) as contracts expire without being renewed due to lower occupancy.
